A consulting boutique providing business advisory and international tax advisory services is looking for a junior accountant / office assistant.
– Full Time
– €1200-€1300/month

Your Role:
• Conduct day-to-day bookkeeping of diversified portfolio of holding and trading                    companies;
• Prepare annual financial statements and cooperate with auditors;
• Prepare income tax returns and VAT declarations;
• Coordinate office activities, including handling phone calls, responding to emails and        scheduling appointments;
• Maintain filing and organising data systems;
• Maintain updates and preparing files for archiving;
• Perform regular office duties, such as printing, scanning, spreadsheet creation, etc.;
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail;
• Perform other office duties, such as the delivery of documents to MFSA.

Your Profile:
• Degree in Finance or Accounting;
• Fluent in both written and spoken English, knowledge of any other European language    will be a strong asset;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications;
• Highly organised with the ability to multitask;
• Able to work on own initiative;
• Experience in a similar position will be a strong asset.

Competencies

• Answer phone calls, receive customers, inform or orient customers
• Draft sales agreements. Follow-up payments. Collect unsettled accounts
• Fill tax returns (VAT, annual declaration of social data…)
• Enter and lay out documents. Forward and file documents
• Enter data for general accounts. Register entries
• Monitor organization’s budget through bank reconciliations, auditing overheads and invoices…)
• Sort, distribute, prepay and register correspondence. Handle emails
• Manage stock; record shortages; place orders
• Collect data concerning activities of personnel. Prepare wage calculation
• Code, file and archive documents
