This document, provides users the possibility to find NACE code for the various NACE Economic categories in Albania. This derives from Statistical classification of economic activities.
NACE, is an abbreviation of the classification of economic activities in the European Union (EU). NACE is a term deriving from the French title: “Nomenclature statistique des activités économiques dans la Communauté européenne.”
The NACE code presents a collection and statistics in many areas, which has developed in various versions since 1970. There is a strong need for correspondence tables between the current NACE and its previous version.
The publication contains the structure of the classification. The introductory guidelines containing the main concepts. A historical background and the methodological guidelines for understanding and applying the classification as well as a detailed description of the different items of NACE Rev. 2.
For European statistics referring to the period 2008-2024.
The members of the European Statistical System (ESS) are using the NACE revision 2 (NACE rev. 2). The EU and EFTA countries collect data and compile statistics for national and EU purposes. The ESS functions as a network: Eurostat’s role is to lead the way in harmonising statistics in close cooperation with the national statistical authorities. The work of the ESS focusses mainly on key EU priorities, but with the expansion of EU policies, harmonisation has been extended to practically all statistical fields, which are presented as NACE Economic categories in Albania.
NACE rev. 2.1 introduces new concepts at all levels of the classification, and restructures a number of the existing headings. At the same time, efforts have been made to maintain the structure of the classification in all areas that do not explicitly require change based on new concepts.
